    Description

This listing is for an HBM Somat Series 2000 Data Acquisition System Model 6DL or GDL Computer with HDD. Looking inside, we see what might be a VGA card and a PCMCIA Hard Disk.
The SoMat 2100 Field Computer System is a rugged and compact data acquisition system with very low power requirements. The ruggedness of the 2100 lets you use it under extreme mechanical and environmental conditions that can withstand temperatures from -20 to 70° C and acceleration of up to 60 Gs. Designed for rapid test setup, it also provides on-line data reduction and analysis to give you field information on the spot. You can perform intelligent data acquisition, data channel computations and on-line analysis, all while leaving the 2100 entirely unattended.
The external frame of each of the 2100 modules is a thick, rectangular ring that is precision-machined out of 6061-T6 aluminum alloy bar stock. Each module is fastened to the one below with eight captive screws, creating a rugged stack that can withstand harsh field conditions. Special rubber gaskets further protect 2100 modules, and circuit boards are conformally coated for insulation and protection from moisture. All inter-module connections are done via an internal 30-pin bus connector.
